Our wonderful festive Christmas party was held at the gorgeous Georgian Glebe House, London on December 7th. Thank you to everyone who came, and if you didn’t make it we would like to share a little bit of the Christmas magic from that night with you.

Firstly our location was the beautiful setting of Glebe House, chosen because we wanted to #makesomeonehappy right from the start using the home of one of the women from our community. Glebe House is a Grade II Listed Georgian Coach house dating from 1825, which is owned and managed by Alix Bateman, an interiors writer. It’s an enchanting place that the owner wants others to use for inspiration, education and more.

And inspired we certainly were, not only due to the beauty of our surroundings but by the close-knit group of 65 women who gathered here to help us to create a celebratory atmosphere of warmth and support. Something that’s at the very heart of what we do at Hub Dot.

To mark the occasion we launched our Christmas campaign to #makesomeonehappy. If you haven’t yet heard of our heart-warming campaign, the idea is to spread the joy of the season by thinking of how you can make someone in your life happy.

As part of the evening we asked everyone to fill out Alchemy cards asking the question: “What will you do to #makesomeonehappy this Christmas and New Year?’

We wanted to hear about dreams that haven’t happened yet, women who need advice and help, and stories about those who felt lost or at a dead end. The result was an overflowing Christmas Box full of wonderful wishes and hopes for others. Wishes that we are now going to create magic with so keep watching for news of the life changing connections we are going to make.
