Captivated at an early age by beautiful things, my first word was chaussure (shoe in French) I was 14 months old. My favorite dress, the one I never wanted to take off aged 5, was bought at Dior Paris by my clever mother.

I acquired a fine tuned eye growing up on different continents, which fed my vivid imagination. An easy adaptable nature meant I felt at home anywhere. Paris was about chic elegance, London a revolutionary creative playground, Florence where I studied captivated me with its Renaissance beauty, and New York energized me.

My first job was at British Vogue but my Parisian heart called me back and it was there that I developed my career in the fashion and design industry.

My time at French Vogue was most exciting thanks to the extraordinary Editor at the time, Joan Juliet Buck who gave me the freedom to share my visions of new talents and Trend forecasting through my monthly Style pages. The stories featured new shopping and travel destinations, considered a great launch platform for many designers. I was the first to feature a story on the now world famous Colette concept store in Paris!

During an impromptu trip to India visiting a friend in Jaipur the tables turned. I immersed myself in an explosion of colors, travelling the roads sent my creative pulse into over-drive. I was struck by the abundance of traditional crafts and knew immediately that I wanted to create something. I felt I was home in more ways then one.

I started making one-off pieces with craftsmen met on my road travels, and despite the language barrier, to my amazementit flowed.
I was able to tap into these beautiful rich crafts, adapting proportions, color schemes and with a lot of attention to detail which made these items quite unique and they fast became coveted and desirable.

The first goods to arrive were sold within a day to Joseph and to
The Cross. I'll never forget Joseph running out of his office clutching my Indian treasures and displaying them throughout his Brompton Cross store.  24 hours later Donna Karan bought the lot!

Later during a fashion event I approached an elegant lady wearing my Tie-dye shawl, she exclaimed: ”Oh your Isi! We've been looking for you everywhere!" She was the Creative Director of Barney's New York at the time.  I left Vogue soon after, moved back to London, set up an office and spent the following 12 years creating my ISI by Isabelle Fraysse line of Accessories and Beachwear sold in of some the best stores in the world.

My work was labor intensive as I overviewed every aspect of the business from creating, sampling, production, showroom presentations during Fashion Week, production and even packing deliveries.
The handmade aspect meant spending a lot more time solving problems then being creative. Although I was happy in India I was burning out.

In my early days travelling through the Indian countryside, I found an Ashram, a place of outstanding beauty immersed in nature, a retreat away from the world. Visiting regularly the elders would ask: “How long are you staying?” I’d reply “48 hours!” By then I knew I’d reached a point of insanity and that’s when I decided to take time out.

During this period and after a very long engagement, I finally found the time to marry and prioritized on home life and still do today.

Taking time to look at life from a different perspective, I am grateful to have met spiritual teachers, received awakenings and connecting with like-minded people with new inspiring views on life.

I have an ongoing passion for interiors and in the past scouted for New York based decorators. I was also a personal shopper to Ralph Lauren during his visits to Paris seeking out special furniture and decorative pieces for his home.

Today I have created ISI Soul Home Organiser Home Harmoniser

I’m exploring my continued interest in transforming energies within the home and work space, creating harmonious and energizing environments. Drawing on my skills using color, textiles and objects I have helped clients re-arrange, organize and clear their personal spaces, as well as editing wardrobes, releasing attachment to possessions. I have also supported some with moving on after the painful life changes of separation and bereavement.

I recently collaborated with a friend whose healing therapies knowledge and wisdom I admire. Together we worked using our own unique individual styles, blending core principles of ancient sciences and intuitive channels as an approach to space clearing and cleansing with the aim to bring more joy and happiness into people's lives.

The resulting changes in the client’s life have been astonishing, and we look forward to taking this collaboration forward. Isi Soul Home Organiser Home Harmoniser website is in the works.

I am often asked to re-edit Isi classic designs and keep an open mind regarding that for the future. I am also very interested at new ways of collaborating within a group or team, where each person's unique skills and visions are optimally put to use. If you think you have ideas or otherwise feel inclined to contribute get in touch.

Today I’m also interested in transforming the energy within a home, drawing on my skills using color, textiles and objects, creating a peaceful, harmonious and energising environment. I have also helped others bring practicality to clearing their homes, editing wardrobes and releasing attachment to possessions.

Recently I collaborated with a dear friend whose healing knowledge and wisdom I admire. Together we aim to bring more joy and happiness into people's lives through our Soul Home work.

For our first project working on a client’s house we used our own unique individual style, blending core principles of ancient sciences, wisdom and intuitive channels. We worked alongside the client moving objects and works of art to more favourable positions in rooms, introducing colour and textiles into the space and finally meditation and healing. We look forward to taking this collaboration forward.

Through the continued encouragement of former clients, friends and family I am preparing to go back to India to create new collections, as well as re-editing best-sellers from my previous work. I am looking at new ways of collaborating, where each person's unique skills are optimally put to use. If you think you have ideas or otherwise feel inclined to contribute, please join in and get in touch!
