A tale about making someone happy from our Luxembourg Christmas event.

"My name is Tuire, I’m 24 years old, and I know a lot about making someone happy. As perhaps some of you here, I too had the classic “good girl’s syndrome”. I always wanted to make sure thatmy mum was happy, my teachers were happy, even that the angry dog next door was happy.

But being a good girl didn’t always make me happy. It took me a long time to learn to listen to myself, what I wanted to do. Only to realise that what I really wanted to do, was and still is to make people happy. It was just a matter of how. And I wanted to do this by illustrating stories and children’s books. I couldn’t imagine greater pleasure than recreating the excitement that I had when reading stories as a child, and passing it on to children of today.

But I wanted to make books that would be different and bespoke. So, as my goal I set out to create the best personalised children’s book out there.
So – a little over one year ago, I founded my own self-publishing company, knowing nothing about publishing. And after one year, our first book, Message in a Bottle, was ready. In the story, Kiki the brave little bird, sets out to an adventure to deliver your message in a bottle to one special child in your life.

Today, Kiki has delivered over 150 messages to children across Europe. Making each child receiving their message happy, and making me proud for making them happy – my way, with a story."
